Lawrence Links Golf Course is a former Military 9 hole golf course located in Antelope, California. Previously a part of McClellan Air Force Base, this course is now opened to the public. The course became public in June 2001 with the base closure. Although a part of the Air Base property, the course was actually located several miles off base in a residential neighborhood.
Lawrence Links Golf Course first opened for play in 1962. The course was designed by Bert Stamps.
Lawrence Links has water hazards in play on every hole. There are also many trees lining the fairways and well-positioned sand bunkers. The greens are fairly large, and the fairways are wide. There are additional tee locations that can be used when double looping for an eighteen hole round.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees the course plays to 2974 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 2602 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 503 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 9, a par-3 that plays to 132 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 422 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Lawrence Links Golf Course is # 4, a 134 yard par-3.
